Terri Epp

My name is Terri Epp and until recently I served as President for the rescue. I am now in the position of Treasurer for Tiny Paws and am enjoying learning more about my new role.  Like many people, I was not aware that a variety of dog rescues existed until I began doing research about dog breeds when we decided to add a "furry companion to our family" in 2001. We ended up adopting from a rescue south of the border but there was a breed rescue being developed here in Canada at this time so I joined as a member and began learning what I could about rescue.

I began by coordinating transports to move dogs from shelters to rescue or from rescue to adopters and did that for many years and along the way was invited to sit on a Board of Directors for the rescue where I gained valuable experience. I then moved onto another rescue to assist them with Board responsibilities and paperwork.

Then in late 2006 a group of like minded animal lovers decided that we had the love and experience to begin our own rescue and that is when Tiny Paws was born. This group decided we should be open to all small breeds both purebreds and mixed breeds. It has been an incredible journey of learning, growth and fulfillment.

My family consists of my husband, Peter and my 2 sons, Alexander and
Noah.  Although we do not have any dogs in our home right now we do have 2 much loved felines, Speckles and George.

Tiny Paws is a great group and I am glad I am a part of it.
