Linda Collier

Right from early childhood, Linda has always had a love for animals. She was always bringing home animals that needed a home and a safe place to call home.

She soon developed a love for the dachshund breed.  Her intense love for them, led her to organizing and coordinating a dachshund festival called "Wienerfest". This festival brings together dachshund lovers to celebrate the breed, promote responsible pet ownership and promote awareness of pet rescue and adoption.

Linda is currently loved by three dachshunds of her own, all with special needs. Gizmo, Spirit and Jemmie. Gizmo has developed seizures. Spirit has an auto immune deficiency and Jemmie has vocal issues.

Linda lives in the small community of Thamesford, Ontario with her wonderful supportive husband. Who supports her love and passion for helping dogs. She soon realized that she could help other dogs in need and that led her to joining Tiny Paws Dog Rescue  Linda is also a member of Helping Homeless Pets.

Linda's career as a resource teacher, working with special needs children, also allows her to do pet therapy as well.  Linda will always have a place in her heart for helping a dog find a forever home
