Shelby

Is an 8 year old smooth coat chihuahua. She's a very sweet, affectionate little girl and loves attention. Shelby is a little bit fearful of strangers, however she likes people and comes out to greet new visitors. She is very comfortable with other dogs and cats. Shelby would be best suited with a person / family that can give her alot of love and attention that she just pines for, she loves to sit on my lap and takes in every hug that she can get. When calling her name with enthusiasm she will actually smile and whine in excitement. Although Shelby loves the attention she will become startled at sudden movements and will jump off my lap,  however, when I call her name she comes running back for more hugs. Shelby only barks when someone comes knocking at the door, otherwise she's a very quiet little girl. Although Shelby is 8 years old she is in exceptional shape, she's been spayed and has had her dental work done. She is also up to date on her vaccines and is ready for her forever home. She is paper trained, at this time I am working on her leash training, it will take some time, however, she is doing very well and catches on quickly. Trusting someone is her motivation.
