Scooter - 1 Year Old, Male Pomeranian Mix

Scooter

Scooter - Available in Nova Scotia.

Hi, my name is Scooter.  I'm a pom-er-ain-ian...I think that's how you spell it!  I was born on Valentines day, 2008.  I don't know how much I weigh but my mom thinks I'm between 12-15 pounds.  My foster mom was expecting a tyrant because my owner said I was cross...but I just didn't like it there.  She says I'm such a good boy, and I give her as many kisses as she asks for.  I'm still very afraid of sudden noises
and movements and I crouch down a lot...but my mom says I don't have to worry so much and she's teaching me that I can feel safe. I like to watch my mom's dogs play but I'm not sure how to join in yet...but I think I'll try soon.  I have to eat in another room because I don't really like to share my food...but I'm learning how to share my toys and drop them when mom asks me to.  I'm going to start learning some commands this week because I forget the ones I was taught before.  I met two cats yesterday and some new people...they were actually kind of cool.  I really liked the man...I'm not as nervous around other guys!

I love to go outside so I hope my forever home has a fenced yard...I already chewed off a couple tie out leashes here when my mom wasn't looking...she says I'm really fast and smart!  I love to toss toys in
the air and catch them just like playing catch.  I'm learning how to sleep in my crate...not my favorite place in the world but I feel safe there...I get to sleep with my foster sister when she is home and I
LOVE that. I smile almost all the time and at first glance...people think I'm growling at them, I look kinda vicious, but I'm not.  I'm VERY submissive and sometimes dribble on the floor but we're working on my
confidence.

Well, I have to go for now...mom says I shouldn't have any trouble finding a new home...but that the new family have to have lots of patience and be willing to help me through my little fears and quirks.
