Brenda Harney

Hi, my name is Brenda Harney.  I am Vice President of Tiny Paws Dog  Rescue and one of the founding members. I have been in rescue for about 6 years and it has certainly changed my focus in life.

I handle the vetting of our dogs when they first come into rescue and make sure that they are altered and up to date with vaccines and care for any health problems the dogs may have.  I also try to help with the foster co-ordination.  I have seen about 200 dogs go through my door in the past years and love it very much.  There is so much to learn and discover about all the breeds and characteristics of all the dogs I  meet.

This has been a very fulfilling journey to see the joy in a dogs face and also in the human that adopts them.  Dogs can make you laugh daily and bring so much joy -  also the best greeting to come home to as if you were the only human in the world that mattered.  I have a few furry  friends of my own and care for fosters as well.  I live in Toronto.  My children are grown and I have 5 grandchildren that I am influencing to be rescue friendly as well.

Thank you.
