Barb Kemsley 1963-2008

All of us at Tiny Paws are deeply saddened by the loss of our friend, Barb Kemsley.

Barb was a founding member and acting Secretary of the charity but more importantly she was a kind, generous person and a great supporter of Tiny Paws Dog Rescue. Barb was a champion for the rights of animals, who spent her weekends and evenings tirelessly transporting dogs in search of happier futures.

The Tiny Paws Newsletter was Barb's initiative and her energy and professionalism were the driving forces behind its production. She took pride in the Newsletter and we were all grateful for the creation of another means of spreading the word about rescue.  The sale of Barb's "rescue magnets" was also her inspiration and a source of significant donations toward the care of the dogs.

Barb and her husband Don, son Aaron and daughter Candace (a Junior Member of Tiny Paws) have all participated in the rescue and fostering of homeless dogs. It was their support that gave Barb the freedom to be passionate about helping others. We would like to express our deepest sympathy to them for their profound loss.

Barb's contribution has enhanced Tiny Paws in every way and we are all fortunate to have known her and to have been considered her friend.

Bio

I have been involved in Animal Rescue for the past 6 years.  I started out transporting rescue dogs in Ontario and then joined Tiny Paws Dog Rescue as a founding member in 2007.  I have been the Secretary for Tiny Paws for the last 1 1/2 years and enjoy seeing all our dogs find their truly forever homes.

I am currently owned by my Golden Retreiver - Tucker  and also by our Shih Tzu - Trey.  Both came from rescue and are well loved by my family - my husband of 20 years and my two children aged 14 & 17.
